Privacy Policy

Gentry. Effective 30 June 2026.

Gentry is a personal planner and speech companion for the best man, made by Moonshot Media Limited. Gentry is built to be private by design. We do not run servers for your content, we do not have accounts, and we cannot see your data.

1. Information we do not collect

Gentry does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no trackers, and no third party data sharing. We do not ask you to create an account or sign in.

2. Information stored on your device

Everything you enter, the wedding details, your objectives and duties, your speech answers and drafts, the stag plan, the kitty and who owes what, suits, ushers, and notes, is stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device database.

3. iCloud sync (your private iCloud)

If you are signed in to iCloud, Gentry uses Apple’s CloudKit to sync your data to your own private iCloud account, so it is available on your devices and survives reinstalling the app. This data lives in your personal iCloud and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. Moonshot Media has no access to it and cannot read it. You can manage or delete it in your iCloud settings.

4. Reminders

If you turn on reminders, Gentry schedules local notifications on your device for your upcoming objectives and duties. These are created and delivered on your device and are not sent to us.

5. The speech builder

Your speech is assembled entirely on your device from your answers using a built-in template engine. Gentry does not use artificial intelligence and does not send your answers or speech anywhere.

6. Sharing

When you choose to share your speech or your readiness board, Gentry uses the standard iOS share sheet. What happens next is controlled by you and the app or contact you share with.

7. Contacting us

If you use the Feature Request or Report a Problem buttons, your email app opens a message to us. If you email us, we receive your message and email address only so we can reply. We do not use it for anything else.

8. In-app purchase

Gentry unlocks with a single one-time purchase through Apple. Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card or payment details. Apple shares only the anonymous confirmation Gentry needs to unlock the app. There is no subscription.

9. Children’s privacy

Gentry is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

10. Data security

Because your data stays on your device and in your own private iCloud, it is protected by your device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and Apple’s encryption. We hold no copy of it.

11. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA)

Since we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our side. You are in full control of your data on your device and in your iCloud, and you can delete it at any time by deleting your data in the app or removing the app and its iCloud data.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
