We’re a small team and we read every email. The fastest way to reach us is by email; most replies go out within one working day. You can also use Settings → Report an Issue inside the App, which fills in the details for you.

Please include:

Quick Answers

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. To cancel:

  1. Open the iOS Settings app
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Tap Smash ProCancel Subscription

Cancelling stops future renewals; your current Pro period continues until the end date. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find the Smash purchase, and request a refund. We have no access to your billing.

I bought Pro on my iPhone. Does my Apple Watch get it too?

Yes. One purchase unlocks Smash Pro everywhere. The watch app works with your iPhone’s entitlement; there is nothing separate to buy.

How does the score caller work?

Smash tracks the serve and the service court for you, and shows the full call (for example 19-21, the serving side’s score first) on the scoreboard with a hint for who serves next and which court to stand in. With Smash Pro you can also have the call spoken aloud before each serve: turn it on in Settings → Score caller, and use the speaker button on the scoreboard to mute it any time. The voice is generated on your device.

Which service court do I serve from?

Smash shows it for you: serve from the right court when your score is even, the left when it’s odd. In doubles it also tracks which player serves and follows the switch automatically, so you always know where to stand.

Where is my data stored?

Everything stays on your device. There is no Smash account and no Smash server. Match history and player names live on your iPhone, are included in your normal device backups, and are deleted if you delete the App.

How does Apple Watch scoring work?

Open Smash on your Apple Watch during a match (or start one from the watch). The score syncs directly between your iPhone and watch: score a rally on either device and the other reflects it. If the watch was asleep, it catches up automatically the next time it connects.

Why does the watch ask for Health access?

During a match the watch runs a workout session purely so watchOS keeps the scoreboard active on your wrist. Smash does not read or save any Health data; nothing appears in the Health app. If you decline, scoring still works, but the watch may sleep mid-match.

The score isn’t on my Lock Screen. How do I turn that on?

  1. Open the iOS Settings app
  2. Tap Smash
  3. Enable Live Activities

How do I undo a rally I tapped by mistake?

Tap Undo at the bottom of the scoreboard (on iPhone or watch), or turn the Digital Crown back a notch on Apple Watch. It works all the way back through the match, including the winning rally.

Is the Smash Rating an official rating?

No. The Smash Rating is an informal estimate computed on your device from the results you record, for fun and personal tracking. Smash is not affiliated with the Badminton World Federation (BWF) or any other rating provider, and the Smash Rating should not be used for tournament eligibility.

What’s included in Smash Pro?

Smash Pro unlocks everything in the App:

  • Scoring for singles and doubles (games to 11/15/21, win by 2, best of 1/3/5), with the serve and service court tracked automatically
  • Apple Watch scoring, in sync with iPhone
  • The spoken score caller
  • Club sessions (round robin and king of the court) with live standings
  • Head-to-head records, streaks and the Smash Rating
  • The Lock Screen and Dynamic Island Live Activity
  • Watermark-free result cards

Smash Pro is a weekly or yearly subscription (each with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers) or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Start the free trial to try everything before you pay.
